May I propose a tribute to Perpetual Man?

No matter what we think of our own challenge stories or each others, Perpetual Man always comes up with comments that are both positive and encouraging for each of us. I don't know how he does it, I certainly couldn't, but long may it continue.

Many thanks.

I concur Mosaix, he should be pushed forward for a knighthood or the very least a gong.:)

Three cheers for PM!

Sorry, it was the best I could do at such short notice. Three cheers for PMan!

I second all the sentiments of the first post!

I am so greatful for Perpetual's monthly digest. They are so very helpful. Especially when a story has cultural references that I may not know/have picked up on. It also helps to get me thinking out of the box when I can't follow a particularly clever story. Plus, its always heart warming to read the pleasant remarks on MY stories...

THANKS PERP!!!

Always the businessman, I've just called the factory in China and this three cheers for PM broach is available from the Chronicles Giftstore and all good retailers.

All proceeds go to me, apart from I'll buy PM a pint for once mentioning my name in micro font Times Roman

I'm in awe of the amount of work that takes. I find it hard to assign all of the stories a number value. 1-10 and an 8 will always get a mention and often the winner has received that score.

One of my country songs postulated that there "ain't any 10's.":D

A flower for each story PM has commented on!

Absolutely!! Awesome work, which I actually refer to, when trying (!) to choose a winner. His ability to distil the essence of our stories is brilliant.

Now, PM.... about this synopsis I've got to write for my novel...:)

Well... what can I say, there is nothing quite so pleasantly surprising as flicking through the new posts in the morning and finding something like this...

Verily am I touched (and yes I know you can take that in more than one way).

Thank you all.

(I was hoping to experiment with the 300 words today, but as sometimes happens it suddenly looks like it's going to a busy day...)

Thank you, Perpetual Man. A tribute well deserved. :)

I've been meaning to post a 'thank you', so how nice to find this thread this morning.

Boneman - does that you mean you want me to write the synopsis or read it????

Write it.... read the whole novel.... Nah, just an early morning jest:eek::). I gotta learn to do it for m'self - call myself a writer, eh?

Why is it that we can write a great synopsis for others, but not for ourselves? - I notice you never actually include one of your own story. I assume that's modesty, of course.

We should form a roster: as soon as your vignettes on our entries are posted, one of us should write one for your entry, and post it.

Here's mine for April:

PetMan: A real-life tale of Princesses and love and tragedy, that we should all recognise. Well-presented, and never mawkish, it gives a great take on the theme for this month. Very moving.

Phew... I reckon I won't have to write Perpetual Man's entry for at least 3 years now... Step forward the next volunteer!

In the style of a 75-word challenge, I've come up with this little piece to contribute to this tribute:

Perpetual man
Every challenge , you do what you can
Rigorously putting up efforts to write
Providing, for each entry, a personal spotlight

Each story you give a fair dealing
That gives every writer a wonderful feeling
Unconditionally, in your synopsis we trust
A Tribute thread just seems like a must!

Lastly, we know we can cause stress
May this thread show our thankfulness
All of us, we can concur
Never we’ll forget, Perpetual Sir!

Isn't it just, I almost feel as though I should be writing a comment on it - and like a complete nonce, I missed the first letter of each line. Wow! I'm totally overcome...

Clappies to mosaix for this fine thread!

And Perpetual Man... you, sir, are a legend.

Well-deserved tribute!

I am always impressed that PM manages to understand every story that well! I wouldn't be able to do what he does, if only because there are always a few that leave me scratching my head, knowing I missed the essential reference that is the key to understanding.

Hip hip hooray! Hip hip Hooray! Hip hip Hooray!

(Twenty-one gun salute is too hazardous, as I'd be sure to hit someone no matter which direction I aimed, and the guns may not be legal in all the other countries.)

I agree, well done Perp!
It is always nice to read a positive critique of my entries and at least I get one positive mention each month. :)
