A Tribute To Perpetual Man.

Brilliant, Cornelius!!:D:D

Thanks, Boneman.

Isn't it just, I almost feel as though I should be writing a comment on it - and like a complete nonce, I missed the first letter of each line. Wow! I'm totally overcome...

Well I had to dig deep into my knowledge of the English language. And the 75 words were a bit of a coincidence. Hope it's not too much a push to keep you doing this. More like a pat on the back for good services.

Now should next month's challenge have Perpetual as a subject, I've already given away my entry :p

I am also in awe of your summarising skillz, Perp. And that you understand them all means that you are a genius. Fact.

Anybody's initials that are PM should be given charge of all challenges. No disrespect to TJ or TE.

PM = Prime Ministerial:):eek:

Can you do owt aboot the cuts your highness?:)

Well that's Paranoid Marvin and Myself in charge then....

It depends what cuts we're on about...

Just wanted to say thanks to the original PM. You make us all feel good about ourselves , which is a genuinely special ability. Please keep it up.

As anyone who has read my attempts at versification can tell, I'm no poet. One in a family is largely sufficient, and my sister fills the rôle admirably.

But there is one format I have mastered, although it is not generally considered suitable for eulogies.

Three cheers for Perpetual Man,
Though you might feel you're an 'also ran',
He'll encourage, exhort,
Make you proud of your short,
There's no losers, as challenge's plan.

For it is a challenge, pitting you against your own limitations, far more than a competition with other contributors. Sure, it's nice to get a mention, and even more so a vote, but the real victory is succeeding in producing something within the defined limits.

I'd like to add my thanks to PM for the wonderful story summaries every month. I'm glad that you've taken the time to do this for us, and always with a positive comment or two, so thank you!:)

As one who tried to do a Perp-Man-Esque review of the stories last month for my own purposes, and didn't get past the first 3, I whole-heartedly agree with this thread.

I eagerly await the 'PM Review' as it may be the only positive comment I get each month, and it's always so uplifting.

So Thank You Perp Man!! Please don't stop!!

I also would like to add my thanks to PM.
I just write the stuff, it takes someone a lot smarter than me to explain em.
THANK YOU THANKYOU THANK YOU

Bob S.

I've thanked the Perp Man before, but it's well worth repeating.

Your insights and efforts - and kindness - is always valued!

Thanks to everyone for all the comments and errr tributes, this little thread still makes my day whenever I see it, or someone comments.

To be honest I do enjoy doing making my notes on all the stories (apart from worrying I'm going to miss one) and am pleased that it has become my little 'thing' as far as the 75 word challenge is concerned and I fully intend to keep doing it.

As I'm sure some of you are aware I've been trying to do the same for the 300 worder and I think that may well be a step too far. Much as I am enjoying doing it is eating away at time... I think I may well try to finish the first one off - it is the first one ever after all, and then let go.

I am new - who is perpetual man? Has he been around for ever? Will he be around for always?

I do my best... I am tempted to say "I have always been here" but I haven't, or "I will always be here" but I won't...

Truth Perpetual Man is obviously my user name, but it's original an umbrella title for a series of short stories I wrote a few years back.

And welcome to the Chrons, Simon!

The commentaries on the stories are even more impressive than usual, PM. I can't even imagine the time and effort that went into finding an appropriate Kipling quote for each of them.

And then you managed to make the 1.5 millionth post, in another thread. A heroic month for you!

I did what?

Wow!

Thank you Teresa, and everyone for the comments on my uh comments. I do actually quite enjoy it, and that everyone seems to appreciate it makes it all worthwhile.
