Hmm no ebook available and only very expensive hardback on Amazon UK (£18), unless going for third party sellers. Most others seem to have it listed but unavailable.

I'm always interested in books dealing with the same sor tof tech I am looking at but I'm not sure I want to spend that much. Might take a look on Abebooks for second hand copy.

I'd happily post it to you but it was in the library. Inter library loan? It was the Waterside library in Derry if you want to try.

Thanks anyway Alc - looks like I can pick it up from AbeBooks for just over £2 including P&P, and I might just do that!

Very quick question: should there be commas in this?

I’m going to end up some lonely, sad, old hermit.

Technically, I think that is correct. But I prefer:

I’m going to end up some sad, lonely old hermit.

One comma, and the order of the words reads better to me. Just my opinion.

I believe it's a personal taste, and writing style thing. We are taught to put the commas in, but there are many books out there where the author has written without the commas, I believe there is a topic about a week back, or maybe two, talking about this.

*wanders off to see if he can find it*

EDIT: okay so it was almost a month back.... here.

Ack, my stupid internet threw me out.

See, I don't like that second comma after sad.

Anyway, I changed it to:

I’m going to end up some sad and lonely old hermit.

Better?

Heh. Well I probably am gonna end up some sad old hermit, but nope, this is for the WiP this time! :p

Some writers are sad, young hermits.

That's an apprentice sad, old hermit. Or perhaps a journeyman sad, old hermit.

To become a master sad, old hermit takes a whole lifetime of dedicated practice of the sad, old hermit's art.
