Who would think such a thing?

Imp, that was a great guess. In fact, it's such a great guess that I had to check ACOK just to be sure. Cressen's first thought is "Such folly." His third thought is a single word... "princess." Wow! You were very close. But....

jules is correct. "A princess" was the very first thought from the very first book.

I would've been less sure if not for your clue.

The sphinx is the riddle, not the riddler.

I've got two guesses... my first is Maester Aemon. Sam might have repeated the old maester's words.

The Imp has it, though Boaz is correct in a way. Maester Aemon said the words, Sam recalled them in a thought....at the Citadel. Your turn, Imp!

Did I really guess a non-POV character in the thought trivia thread? Well, that was brilliant.

"The bear is all in black." Hmmmmm. Tyrion?

it's easy to lose track of the threads around here :)

Tyrion is incorrect

Trying to think of who this would be referring to, and then who it would be thinking of it. The bears I can think of: Jeor Mormont (always all in black, so why comment on it), Jorah Mormont (don't recall him ever being in black), wasn't there a dancing bear with one of the entertainments at Joffrey's wedding? The only POV there was Tyrion, and that's incorrect.

Then there's those female mormont characters. Maege and Dacey. Very well could have been either of those that this was thought about. So then which POVs could be the thinkers?

Catelyn?

It wasn't Cat, but that's a much closer guess.

I didn't think this one would be very tough. Go figure.

Think about where bears have appeared in the story.

Yay! I just finished my ponderously slow-paced (due to work and review school) re-read of ACOK. My sister gifted me the first volume of Dreamsongs and I'm lovin' it. Will look for something and will be back in an half an hour. Cheers! :D
