ASOIAF Hit List - SPOILERS

i'd agree with the addition of Bowen Marsh to the OPs list.
Keep Stannis on it, since he's surely not dead off-page (the only way he could be dead, is if the prologue for the next book shows it).
I'd add Dany herself to the list aswell. I don't know why i hate her so much, but she's possibly the LEAST sympathetic character in the whole series for me. oh she "tries" you'll say... oh but how thats not nearly good enough. the arrogance of that pseudo-queen/child repulses me in the same way Stannis does actually. Oh and Davos. he can die too.
Nooooooooooo, you are WRONG WRONG WRONG. I haven't read the last book cos I'm waiting for it to come out on paperback but I read all the spoilers and any friends I have who've read it say she gets really stupid in ADWD but what I've always noticed is that she learns from mistakes - while others have been taught how to rule, she simply has to learn for herself by trial and error. Meereen is her experiment. And she has DRAGONS - why shouldn't she be arrogant? Dany was always my favourite character.

'The storms come and go, the waves crash overhead, the big fish eat the little fish, and I keep on paddling.'
That refers to how no-one quite loves him - but no-one ever hates him enough to kill him and he's always useful enough to have around.
Curious that that's not just how the characters in the book view him but also we the readers!
That's one of my favorite quotes from the series. I've always thought that h was referring to something like "slow and steady wins the race" and that he manges to stay under the radar. I think many would love to kill him, but i suspect that few even know where he sleeps, and he'd probably know of any plot against him the second it was hatched. Varys as as many eyes as Bloodraven, maybe one more :D

1) That ******* (you know who)
2) Cersei
3) Mace Tyrell
4) Walder Frey and "Rhaegar" Frey
5) Thorne (even though we need men for the Wall)
6) Queen Selyse

but remember the Greyjoy words; What is dead may never die, but rises, harder and stronger

Not that I'm a huge fan of Mace Tyrell, but I'm curious 3Eyed how he earned a spot on your hit list?

a few things. His siege at storms end with Randall Tarly, I felt bad thinking of Stannis and everyone starving (making Davos have to do his thing was cool though) while he and his gorged himself...

also the way he seems to be trying to be as manipulative as Cersei to get a stronger hold on the Iron Throne (well to me it seems like that)

and especially because of Tyrions trial, were he was just a jerk to Tyrion and didn't even try to see his side (obviously he doesn't like Tyrion so I don't like him)

I would have put Randall Tarly up on the list too but I can't kill off someone with a sword as badass as Heartsbane

Agreed. As far as I'm concerned, they're stirring a pot that needs to be stirred!
Here's the way I see the Sandsnakes:

Doran makes it clear he has a plan that will make their revenge thorough and complete, but requires time to carry out. The Sandsnakes act like spoiled brats who want their way and they want it now. If they had said they were willing to see the plan out, and if it doesn't work, then they will see to things themselves I would not view them so badly.

You may be thinking to yourself that Doran's plan has failed, but in a series where no one really dies, I think that Quentyn may not be dead.

I can see a new chapter that starts off with a totally bald Quentyn surveying his surroundings in the Dothraki sea as the dragon is off hunting. He does a retrospective in which he is amazed at the realization that the flames fully engulfed him, yet the flames did not consume his flesh, but did burn off his clothes and hair...

GRRM likes a good tale where the underdog makes good.

If that happens then the Sandsnakes look even more like the snotty brats they are while Doran is saying "I told you so..."

It's kind of tough to say that no one dies when so many people that were once in the series are dead.

I don't think Quentyn is coming back, unless his death was faked.

All good points....I can't disagree!

1. Ramsay Bolton
2. Walder Frey
3. all other Freys responsible
4. Ser Robert Strong
5. Selyse
6. Cersei
7. Littlefinger (preferably by Sansa or Sandor)
8. Lady Dustin (bitch annoys me, unless she was Feeding The Mole and she's a secret Stark loyalist)
9. Axell Florent
10. ALL MEEREENESE
11. Penny
12. Mace Tyrell
13. Randyll Tarly
14. Arianne Martell
15. Ser Alliser Thorne
16. Meryn Trant
17. Qyburn
18. Borroq (creepy...)

Valar morghulis.

Welcome Alayne Stone.

Penny was an incredibly annoying character, but i don't wish her dead, only gone.

I realized that i never gave my own list. so here goes. Sort of in order of preference.

Ramsay Bolton- Who would have thought that anyone could replace people such as his father, Walder Frey, Gregor Clegane, etc. GRRM has brought the idea of a villain to new heights, creating what is perhaps the vilest character I've ever come across in fiction. Ideal killer- Theon

Walder Frey- another obvious choice. Some have said that Walder's fate should be to live to see the destruction of his House. i say, let him live that long and then give him to Ramsay (before Ramsay gets it), then let him die at the hands of Un-Cat

Hizdar, whom i think is the Head Harpy, along with anyone associated with the him, including any color Grace. I wouldn't mind seeing BFS dispatching him.

Brown Ben Plumm, because i hate traitors and turn cloaks. Any should have Dragon roast him. Caramelized plums are supposed to be fairly tasty

Littlefinger His betrayal of Ned is enough to wish him dead, and he's done so much more. At the hands of Sansa would be nice.

Lancel, for being an opportunistic dirtbag that indirectly killed Robert. Seeing him and Rouge (is he still alive?) in the same black cell would be exquisite

Whit Whittlestick and Bowen Marsh. Ghost ripping their throats out would be fine with me. Jon ripping their throats out while warged into Chost would be even better.

All of the Bloody Mummerth, hopefully by Jaime and Brienne.

Cersei, for obvious reasons. I'm hoping Tommen is the 'little brother"

Anyone named Greyjoy other than Asha or Theon. I hope they all drown.

Selyse, for being a horrible person that is beyond redemption, even by GRRM. Dying in flames would be nice, preferably by a dragon.

Qyburn, Randyll Tarley, Alliser Thorne, almost anyone named Frey, etc. would all be there.

it's fascinating to me that no one has Sandor, Varys, Theon or Jaime on their list. That says a lot about the complexity of these characters and GRRM's skill as a writer.

I feel like i'm leaving someone out.

I actually don't think he is the head harpy (just a catspaw) but I would like to see him die at the hands of Skahaz mo Kandaq..or if he IS the harpy, then I'm sure the sickly slimmed down Strong Belwas will have his liver....with onions to help him get his strength to fight this up coming battle at Meereen.

I wonder if there will be a final battle of Meereen. I'm not sure that there will be. I think that Dany may have come full circle at the end of her last chapter, and has met the Kallisar that she will bring across to Westeros. I also think that she's smart enough to learn from her mistakes, and that she's going to figure out (if she already hasn't0 that she will be fighting in Meereen forever if she stays In more practical terms, i think that GRRM has wasted enough time in Meereen and needs to move the story forward. I also think that if I and everyone else has figured that out he has as well.

I don't know about that...I like the Brazen Beasts and Selmy still has Knights in training, and I'm really doubting that Dany will make it back to Meereen anytime soon. The Bold Barristan might just even end up King (even though he won't like it) of Meereen. I feel like I'm the only one who really enjoyed the Meereen days, and all of Essos in general....BUT, what I think will actually happen is, Danny will win the huge Kalasar (with Drogo) and comeback and truly conquer Meereen and FINALLY make way towards Westeros. (hopefully Belwas, The Shavepate or Selmy doesn't die)

sorry for going off topic in the hit list thread; I hope Khal Poho dies
