ASOIAF Hit List - SPOILERS

Regarding Penny....she is a bit much sometimes but I personally find it impossible to hate her, let alone wish her dead. Think about it, unless you're born (or raised as!) a Lannister, what kind of life does a dwarf have to look forward to in Westeros? Their only options are to be entertainers or slaves or beggars. Penny and her brother, under the tutelage of their father, chose to be entertainers. It wasn't a happy life but it was happy enough. And then for no reason at all someone murders her brother thinking it's Tyrion for personal gain. At this point she's lost absolutely everything....she doesn't even have her pig or her dog anymore. To me her grief and despair are completely understandable. She's nowhere NEAR as annoying as Sansa (whom I still would be mostly happy to see die). Unlike Sansa, Penny actually tries to do something about her lot, to pick up the pieces of her life and go on. Sansa as Alayne is considerably more tolerable, but Sansa as Sansa is quite possibly the most annoying character I've ever encountered in literature. Honestly.....just die already.

I agree about Penny. There's something really endearing about her, and she grew on me as the book progressed. I think GRRM put her in the story to be Tyrion's "good angel", you know, the one that sits on his shoulder and acts as the counterpoint to the devil that sits on his other shoulder. He can certainly use one of those.

As for Sansa. I always wanted to strangle her early on, and it wasn't until she became Alayne that I started liking her character., and now I'm at the point where i am starting to really look forward to the possibilities in her character.

I definitely think Penny serves a purpose as Tyrion's moral compass. Much the way Brienne redefined the path that Jaime was set upon.

juleska, well said. Just when Tyrion had commited his heart to destroying everything held dear by his father and sister, Penny came along to remind him that sunshine and laughter still exist... and that innocence is precious. Of course she's annoying, but her innocence not only reminds Tyrion of his anger towards Tywin, Jaime, and Cersei for destroying his own, but Penny proves that innocence is precious and beautiful. Penny forces Tyrion to think about returning to a more simplistic and wholesome life... or at least go do justice, instead of vengeance, to ensure that the innocence of many others may be preserved.

Penny is a great foil to Tyrion's hatred.

Regarding Brienne... She reminded Jaime that it is better to pursue honor, as foolhardy as it seems, than be wise and morally bankrupt.

Who would I put on my list? Only those who intentionally corrupt the innocent... Baelish, Melisandre, the kindly Old Man, and Ramsay. These are the really scary people, in my opinion. But I don't want them to die until the end.

Well I could see Alayne Stone getting her wish about the Meereenese.
There are plenty of combinations of Companies, Unsullied, Ironborn, Dothraki, destitute ex slaves, starvation, fever, bloody flux or greyscale and dragons that could clean out that town. A lot of nasty people, some just desparate.

Arianne for 2 reasons:

- to get rid of her boring POV
- to torment Doran some more. Imagine the poor guy losing his daughter and receiving news about Quentyn about the same time.

Oh, and Trystane and Myrc should totally rule Dorne, they're cute.

It is known. Can't wait to see what Euron is up to. He's surely a baaaad man, but so is his long-lost twin Don Giovanni.

Why do you want to torment poor Doran?!:(

But without her we would never see how cool Darkstar is

OOOOOO...Darkstar POV(Prologue) in WoW, he will recall Arthur, which will get the ball rolling on revealing what happened at the Tower of Joy

Juleska, I'd like to refer to your list.
I defiinetly agree, that Ramsay has to die. Sooner the better. But I'm okay with Roose. Obviusly he's gonna die somehow, but he's an absolutely clear character. Understandable reasons and pure logic acts.
And I would remove Cercei too. After her last chapter in ADWD, I almost liked her.
Freys... If old Walder Frey dies, that will be the downfall of the whole house. I wouldn't be suprised, if the Freys themselves destroyed the Twins.
Qyburn and Robert Strong are too fascinating to kill them soon.
The Kettleblacks are unimportant tools of Littlefinger. By the way. He has to die. That little string pulling *******.
I'm also very courious about Lancel, and I think, his death is not necessary.

But Lord Tarly needs to live. He is strong and righteous enough to help the re-organising of the realm. Yes, he's the main reason, why Samwell was so messed up. But Sam is getting through well enough.

Theese are who must die, becouse of their sins. Off course, if we want to pick everyone who's gonna die in the last two books, well... This forum's servers are not capeble of handling so much data. :)

(And sorry for my English)

No. 1 on the hitlist has got to be Meereen. Dany has her dragon, her Khalisar, and they are just a wee bit to the north of that cursed city. She could wipe out what is left of the beseigers, destroy the pyramid dwellers, hand the whole mess over to "her children" under some sort of governor, and be off to Westeros, across the steppes, in under a month. It is too simple a solution to not do it, in my opinion.

She won't have to worry about Qarth, either, because Victarion will wipe out the Qarthan blockade quite nicely for her, and in fact seems like he has already started in on that.

Maybe Meereen will be renamed...
