Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Arrrgh, this blasted theme!

Now I've got six stories in versions of three entirely different things, and no idea which to choose, if any. Well, at least I have something. And Robert has beaten me to the punch with something exceedingly terrifying.

High Eight: Nice concept

Thanks, End. I just had the thought: "What is worse than being pursued by something that hates you?" and the answer popped into my (admittedly twisted) brain.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Well, there it is. A swiftly-composed, fourth different story. I'll have a lot of spares to post for commentary this month!

Onward to editing the 300 now. Last time I checked, I had 11 or so words to spare on that one.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Last I checked, I had 11 words full stop - It is up to 300 words isn't it?

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

That's 11 more than me, TEIN. Normally ideas for the challenges are popping into my head all the time but this month has been particularly difficult. :(

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Perhaps the euphoria engendered by today's result will spark your muse, mosaix.

I haven't even got that going for me, but I'm determined to post something. (What, though?)

EDIT: And to answer that: not much, but it'll have to do.

Well, I've given up faffing around with my entry, since nothing's going to help it now.

As for the 300 worder... it's just as well I've still got a week to think about it.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Good thing you did get in, Yer Honor....only about seven and a half hours or so left.

I see Hoopy made a 300, but nothing in the 75 by her yet....

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

The 300 was a lingering idea that came back to me earlier and demanded to be written.

The 75-worder, I got diddly squat.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Aww, and I was hoping for some zombies this month, H-girl.

Zombies! *Slams a tankard down on the table* Maybe they're the ones with the nightmare of reawakening from the dead? ;)

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Dear me, already type-cast!

I prefer writing more subtle, ghostly horror.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

Well, Hoopy, I've got three extra stories if you need one -- but they all stink, and there weren't even any zombies in any of them, either! :D

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

I think I used up any dregs of creativity on the 300. And that was an idea I had a while back, too. I don't write much these days.

Snap out of it Dragon.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

You could have my original idea, running out of tea bags. Don't look like that it was just a thought.

That's a serious nightmare in my book! It just doesn't get any worse than that.

Re: Discussion October SEVENTY-FIVE WORD WRITING CHALLENGE

I wrote up something at the last minute, just so I could contribute something this month. No time to put it aside, come back later and decide whether it's any good or not. It's there.

And a reminder to anyone else who has delayed: there is just about half an hour to go.
