Yikes!

I've been missing a few days and I come back to three pages of brilliance. Most discouraging!

Oh, well. I've got an idea or two simmering. I'll have a listen to some traditional folk songs and see if something bubbles up. Doubt if it'll be as good as what has already been posted, though.....:(

Hello,

I am having problems this month. Well, not problems; nomally when I see the genre and theme, one idea pops into my mind and I mine it to try to get it into some kind of coherent form for these hallowed halls. This is the first month where I have had three ideas.

I've managed to discard one, but cannot decide on the other two... I like to post relatively early and be done with it but this month is causing me vexations, megrims and whiffs :D.

I hope the one I choose passes muster! I'm writing them both simultaneously and will 'think about that later.'

re the Clown discussion further up thread, I'm totally with Starbeast;

Why not?

I never understood those who don't like clowns. Bad experiance as children with them perhaps? They look creepy because they wear paint on their faces and wear colorful clothes? Horror movies? Coulrophobia?

I quite agree. I like clowns because they are so eerie, melancholy, ghoulish, and funny. And Pennywise is an ultimate hero of mine :D; so much so, that I made a dance-for-camera piece (my first attempt) where I played a clown living in the Lea/Thames (in other words, Stratford Greenway and the Olympic site was my playground). Anyway the piece had to be under 5 mins so I had to cut 8 mins of footage...if anyone is interested and I am permitted by the Moderizers, I'll post the link to my clown vid, or perhaps a PM is more appropriate seeing as this thread is for story discussions.

Ah finally, another Pennywise admirer!

If this works as it's supposed to (crosses fingers) it should give an overview of the first (nearly) two years.

230 writers, 1170 stories, that makes lots of words, and much time spent writing. And voting.

That's pretty impressive, chris. How much time did it take?

And, if I ever need some graphs and charts...;)

Thanks, chris, for putting in all that hard work!

(But you might want to double-check your x's, because you've got me down as missing September, when I did write a story.)

Thanks chris, but like Teresa, I'm missing X's for Feb and March. I've entered in both challenges since becoming a member.

Oh sure, now I have to update the last year's worth of challenges on mine, to see if you're right! :D

I still get a funny feeling when I see an old post from Oxman and I got it again, just then, when I saw his missing X's after June last year.
