For the second month - and with no apologies for that, my vote goes to ...

Phyrebrat for the excellent Erwin's Catch 22. Very clever - I see a sitcom! I couldn't have seen that ending coming. Wedgwood too - that was the real killer image for me - adds a lovely sense of reality.

I really can't get down to a shortlist, so step forward my faves:

Found it very hard to choose - reiver33, Glen, springs, Starbeast, Highlander, and Ursa all get special mention in my book but I finally plumped for ratsy. Was great fun reading through them all, well done everyone.

My vote went to Alchemist's Alien Vs Predator - The last line really tickled me and made me laugh like a drain.

I also liked Ratsy's How The Flugertz Got Their Groove Back and Scott R. Forshaw's Interdimensional Indignation.

I must admit to feeling a bit dense this month in that I did not understand some of the stories. That seems like a silly thing to say when the genre included humour but I read some a few times before contriving a meaning to them which may not have been there. I think that could be down to cultural references, or my being rather thinly-read in the Sci-Fi area.

Also, it feels a bit mean-spirited making judgements on whether you think something is funny or not! I thought we were meant to experience the challenge in the writing, not the voting

Stormcrow, thanks for your vote (again!). When voting is finished I should share something about my story's origins.
