Luiglin – Where do you begin with this little masterpiece? There is some great word play – evolution instead of revolution (Just gave me an idea for a story in fact, but I can’t use it!), the idea of a remote controlled meteor was good enough, but having it used as an act of mammalian revenge was just another string to the bow… and the names
Spot on.
Ratsy – Another funny one (well they are meant to be), but another great idea. The idea that aliens planted dinosaur bones as a prank is an idea of genius (it could also open a huge can of worms on a HUGE scale), and the pyramids might be involved is just a total additional punchline that makes the whole thing such fun.
Karn – For someone who felt there might be trouble with his story, he certainly knows how to raise a smile. As one of the many copyrighted ideas to come from this trial his time machine is unique, which makes it fresh as… well triceratops poop perhaps. The payoff is as good as the rest, the idea of not just missing the desired time, and the ingredients of the time travel device make this a tasty tale.
Hex – How this excellent reworking of a classic can be delivered poe faced is beyond me. It is perfectly altered to fit the theme, and the fact that it has a familiarity is one of the reasons that make it a truly amusing read. Not only is it the poem but the story as well, the images it brings to mind. A classic.
StilLearning – The primadonna, over hysterical reactions of an actress. What could be more dangerous or terrifying? Oft it has been suggested that the T-Rex was the most terrifying creature to ever lived, but people have obviously not constipated the wrath of a true diva. This part of the story is good and fantastic enough, but it does not end there, we get to see that even the greatest of film makers cannot resist the spectacle, and provision of the spectacle through modern media. A chuckle indeed!
