All I am seeing at the moment is tudor blokes with tipped neon green mowhawks and massive loads of eyeliner...

Very interesting genre/theme, will have to think hard about it.

Nice, Springs, off to a good start there. Hilarious.

Hmmmm, since a quick google search turned up no genre definition but only this highly informative link :p

Thanks for the link Springs. I wrote a tale going by the exact discription.

HOWEVER, I looked up "Tudor" in the dictionary (just after I posted), and my tale won't fit because of the historic period of time.

I'm afraid I'm unable to compete this month.

Good luck to eveyone, I'm going to sit this one out.

NOOOOOOOO!!!!! :(

A month without a Starbeast story is like an unexpected prostate exam. You just don't want it to happen.

Ty very much, I'm glad it raised a smile. :)

Aw, Starbeast, that's so bad... :( (I do hope it wasn't my link that caused the chaos.) Will you post it up at the end, I always love your stories? :)

Um... what? How am I meant to vote this time round if I dunt understand the genre, eh? Eh?

Posted. Had to check birth and death dates for this one to make sure a certain person actually lived during the Tudor period. Thankfully he did ... just about.

Wow...I don't even know what to say about this one. I love to get right to it the first day of the month but my brain cramps up even contemplating what to do with this Genre.

I also thought about sitting out but will brave the Challenge and work something out Saturday morning with a cup of coffee and a dog on my lap for warmth...(snowing here)

It's nice to be missed. I like your gross, yet touching remark. Thanks man.

Don't blame yourself Springs, it's not your fault. I didn't know what "Tudor" was. I had everything mentioned by Chopper in his blog, EXCEPT "Tudor".

I'm not going to post my tale at the end, the action/horror story I wrote wouldn't fit "Tudorpunk".

It's notable that in Tudor times a 'punk' could refer to a lady of 'negotiable affections', so I hope everyone will be keeping their stories clean!:D

A definition of the genre would be helpful, but I guess one is in the mind of the reader.

I am assuming it refers to an alternate Tudor reality, but I may be wrong!

Starbeast, there are still 3 wwks to go so plenty of time to come up with an alternate story. As a Python fan , you do realise that the Spanish Inquisition was alive and kicking (as well as maiming and torturing) during this period, hint-hint (or should that be nudge-nudge, wink-wink?)

The link springs put in post#2 is about as good as it gets, so, er, yes.

It wasn't my intention btw to get too hung up on exact time-periods. The Novembrial(?) event that inspired this theme/genre combo was a few years outside the Tudor age. So I'm hoping Starbeast wasn't being too strict with himself.

Well I'm posted. This is definately the toughest challenge I've ever faced, but as someone who loves history, I probably enjoyed it more than any other as well.

PM - it shows! As someone else who loves history, and poetry, I thought yours was excellent!

Once again, i find I'm amazed at people's creativity on here!

Thanks Stormcrow.:)

As a Lancastrian , I can't believe I'm batting for the other side! :D

I went for the obvious, I'm afraid. Stuck with the theme but not sure I did the same for the genre? Ah well, I almost gave up so I'm glad I stuck something in.

Well I got an idea so I haven written and posted. Hope everyone gets it!

Starbeast, I'm sad at the prospect of not seeing your entry. You've been consistent at bringing a smile to my face in the past. Still, next month. :)

That's mine in. Hopefully, people will get it. Perhaps one for the history lovers, though.
