Sorry we had a double tie on a 30-day month, but better late than never!

Discuss away!

Far away. Out of RAY GUN range of both of us, preferably.

For obvious reasons, I won't say I'm sanguine about the choice of theme, but at least this month we have a genre that can get its teeth into us, rather than the other way round.

TDZ, Hex, go and hang your heads in shame. Vampires? Is it cos they sparkle so can be shoved on top of the tree for Christmas?

Vampire Christmas? I feel a bout of awful puns coming on ...from myself I mean. Going to enjoy this one.

'The Christmas Vampire'. Either a Doctor Who special, a lost Bram Stoker short, or Dickens' sequel in the life and times of Tiny Tim. :D

As to bow ties, sorry, but they're not cool. To paraphrase a vaguely remembered comment, bow ties are what some men use in place of a personality.

Hmm, time to get myself a bow tie, methinks. :)
*Toddles off to the wardrobe, thinking about what to write*

Just for the record, I'm not the one who mentioned vampires. :D

I don't know where it could possibly have come from.

Ohh! The Parson moans. "Vampires and Christmas." Talk about mixing the holy and the profane!

Wheels turn:

Starts thinking of Christmas carols played on an ancient organ by a Count in Tails. Hmm!

You've been watching too much Sesame Street.

I told Hex nobody would ever believe we didn't invent the Challenge around a finished story, if I posted this early, but this story woke me up this morning (too early, I should point out) and wouldn't go away. I also wanted to make sure nobody beat me to it!

I had enough room to spare, so I went with a two-word bow tie rather than a one-word bowtie. Ruling pending, but at least I'm safe!

Whew, now I can do whatever qualifies as relaxing during the month of December. Starting with a trip to the library, a trip to the other library, and a trip to Walmart, with a small child. Luckily, the other one doesn't want to go.

Muhahahahahaha! The vampires were my fault. There have been a lot of threads about them recently and it clearly lodged in my easily influenced little head. I look forward to seeing what you do with them.

And yet, I somehow beat you to the punch, Zeebs. Sad, really...

A very interesting challenge, I'm sure it will inspire some very interesting entries. My head is starting to spark with a few idea.

Well done ladies I like it.
