Discussion -- 300 Word Challenge #8

Indeed. There is a LOT that can be done with this picture, shipwreck or no. The old derelict does indeed help a lot, especially if anyone goes down the supernatural route, but I'm seeing some good possibilities. Even better than last time.

Yep, a story just fell into place in my mind as soon as I looked at the picture. Going to be very interesting.

I suspect the idea that fell into my mind is the one everyone will have. Fantastic picture, though.

But you have until 10th of January before you can post your story...

...so the picture is your starters for ten....

Oh dear, what have I started?

Just to explain myself, it looks like a deep fat fryer, a shopping trolley, a colander, a fruit basket, one of those blue crates you put veg in...

Maybe I just really like food.

Food is the last thing I was thinking of with the picture, Mouse, and I'm a fat guy. :p

Hmm...to be honest, I really don't know what to try to go with. I'm glad we have a good week and a half to think things through for the 300. There's just too many possibilities with this one.

Just looking in at the end of the day, and what an interesting photo. A few ideas filtered through the old grey matter, but not sure just what is going to settle there yet.

I just thought it was rife with potential and gives me a few ideas.

The first thing that sprung to mind was a WiP I started many years ago, and have only recently come back to looking at again. (I'm probably not going to rework it here, but the idea just jumped back on me!)

It is an interesting picture. Ideas are slowly percolating. I can see what Mouse means, though. Kind of reminiscent of the little baskets they put on restaurant tables, to hold the bread. Or a tattie crate.

Did that make you hungry again, Mouse? :D
