ABC of ASOIAF

Jhogo - Bloodrider to Daenerys. A fierce fighter and loyal champion.

King's Landing capital city of the Seven kingdoms. Located within it is The red Keep.

Margery Tyrell - Loras' loving sister. Wife to three kings and well on her way to Black Widow status. But she's still a maiden, she swears!

House Payne. Beholden to the Lannisters, they hail from the Westerlands. The two most prominent members are Ser Ilyn and squire Podrick. Ilyn used to be the captain of Lord Tywin's guards when he was Hand to Aerys II... until Aerys overheard Ilyn boasting that Tywin was the more powerful and more regal. Aerys had Ilyn's tongue ripped out and then appointed him as royal executioner. Podrick squired for Tyrion during Tyrion's time in King's Landing. He now squres for Lady Brienne Tarth.

Qhorin Halfhand

Ranger of the Nights Watch. He led a search party, of which Jon Snow was a part, to find Mance Rayder and the Wildlings and discover what they were looking for. Eventually they were discovered, and Qhorin told Jon to yield if they were caught and act as a spy. Qhorin was eventually killed by Jon in order to prove he wanted to become a wildling.

Ser Robar Royce, also known as Robar the Red

A son of the Vale who decides to support Renly in an attempt to make a name for himself (and help his family play both sides, no doubt).

R'hllor.

Can't say that I really know much about what R'hllor is. But it seems he is the red god of light and has a lot of fanatical followers who look for human sacrifices and icons to burn. The priests or priestesses do seem to be associated with healing, visions, fires, raising the dead, shadows and glamours, but with some dark purposes. He is associated with the phrase "the night is dark and full of terrors".

Samwell Tarly- eldest son of Randyll Tarly and a complete disappointment to him. Randyll forced him to take the Black so his younger brother could be the heir. Sam is very fat, and lacks confidence. He is now studying at the Citadel to become a Maester.

Edit: I've erased my original post.

My first entry for T was Tarth. I included a physical description, the meaning behind it's nickname, it's ruling house, and how Jaime used the nickname to protect the lord's daughter. And that led me to what the victim of Jaime's ruse said....

Thapphireth!

Thapphireth ith tho much more fun to thay than Tarth.

We had another R just before yours, but it's no matter, as R'hollor was used in the previous round. :)

I started a spreadsheet to keep us straight. :D Here's what we've used so far (attached).

I had been thinking along similar lines, except I was just going to make a post and then update it every round. Would that be easier, or would you prefer doing this?

Since it seems the PDF isn't working for everyone the post may be easier. :)

But since we left off at T....

House Umber - Loyal bannerman to House Stark, headed by Greatjon Umber who initially challenged the leadership of young Robb Stark and learned a harsh lesson at the hand of Grey Wind. Greatjon later was the first of the Stark bannermen to bend the knee to Robb as the King in the North.

Victarion Greyjoy - Leader of the Iron Fleet of the Iron Isles. An outstanding sailor, admiral and ruthless fighter who lives the by the Iron Code and woe betide any who get in his way.

Edit: Beaten to the punch.... both posts recorded at 8:16 AM. Nice. I did have a description for Waymar Royce... but I've erased it and gone with...

Xhondo. Crewman on the Cinnamon Wind... maybe even first mate. I forget. He knows one word in the Comon Tongue... F***. Very charming.
