Discussion -- 300 Word Challenge #9

Congratulations Springs! A well deserved winner and I hope you enjoy your book. :)

Gahhh, Lenny, I loved your explanation :) The Defiant was my favourite ship in any of the ST franchises; no wonder your story was such a good one!

For my efforts... well, the name of the journal-writer that is found on my trash island was an anagram of a famous old horror writer, and the ship was named after Billie (no, not Piper :p !) - who first sang the dark, heartbreaking Strange Fruit song which tells of lynched 'black bodies, swinging in the southern breeze'.

One day I'll writer something a little nicer, I'm sure.

Congrats Springs.

I don't think my entry needs any explanation, apologies for the awful humour maybe, but no explanation.

Luiglin, I knew I was voting for yours the minute I read it. My kind of humour. ;)

Thanks Juliana. As I've stated on a post in the critiques area humour is quite subjective. Unfortunately I sometimes can't help myself but roll out the puns. My failing is often not knowing when to stop.

You can now see her story as a featured article on the Chronicles home page. (If you don't know where that is, you'll see the link on the bar at the top of this page.)
