Zeno agency

Hard submission guidelines - a few sentences; my query has six so might be too long, but might be ok. A brief outline of plans/ very short cv ( because it is) is another paragraph. Link to website, which they ask for, goes to another. So five paragraphs, which might be too long. Hard to tell.

I don't really like the sound of them, but I can't work out why. I do like that they've used ?! though, when writers get bollocked for it all the time.

Their list of clients blows any others I've seen out of the water (esp. if you include their US arm). I'll be submitting later this week.

I know but I do wonder about working with an agent you don't like or get on with. Like them I only have a small biography and website to judge.

I already said on page one I wasn't going to sub. I know who they are and I know who their clients are. One, I don't think I've got a cat's chance, two, I prefer the sound of other places so would rather try elsewhere (especially as it sounds like they want fantasy fantasy and I only do vague fantasy).

Well, I submitted and they asked for 50 pages, a bio and a full synopsis. Which was nice.

If you're reading, I love you, Zeno!

Now for that bio. Must remember not to use the phrase "Righteous dude..."

It's pretty much impossible to tell before an offer if you're going to get on with an agent -- this is why you talk to them/ask questions/answer theirs after the offer and before you sign. To make sure you're both looking at things the same or similar ways. A great agent for someone else may not be a great agent for you.
