We have to remember that there are great writers on here and there is only 1 vote with 40+ entries...that is a very hard accomplishment to get any votes by those probabilities.

Any worries I had about this mix of theme/genre have been blown away by the number, quality and diversity of the entries so far. I could see myself voting for half of them. Much better than alchemissus' suggestion of Scooby Doo as a theme

Thanks Alc, great theme and genre. Unusually for me I thought something up in the car on the way home tonight. I've just jotted it down - bang on 74 words and almost the finished article.

I've just got to think of a title then let Mrs Mosaix read it. I may even post it tonight. I don't think I've ever posted on the first day before. Still, that'll give me more time for the 300 worder. At the moment my mind is totally blank on that one.

Uh oh, I had definitely better find a title for mine, then, and get it up before you do!

Unlike my usual, I had to do a lot of word-chopping this time. But I think I have a finished product, and it just needs a title.

Been mulling this over for sometime but September will have to be my last entry for both the 75 and 300.

I'd hoped that they would help my writing, but for me I don't think they have (I seem to be going backwards more than forwards).

I'm sorry to hear that, Luiglin. I'd also urge you to continue. I know this year hasn't been the best for you in the 75 worders, but as I said to Phyrebrat, we all have periods like that.

I don't know whether you think the short stories are affecting your longer work, in which case you're perhaps right to give the Challenges a rest for a while, but please don't give them up because you're down at not getting more votes. I've just checked and for the 75 worders last year there were 154 entrants and you came joint 24th. With the 300 worders to date we've had 139 entrants and you're at joint 27th (and in only 6 Challenges out of a possible 10).

Nope it's more that I need to get back to my WiP. I've not been overly happy with recent entries and this has put me off writing my WiP, which with only three chapters remaining, is not a good state to be in.

To add another bit of plagiarism ... I'll be back
