A tiny little apostrophe question

For what it's worth I asked a friend who edits a prominent space science journal which style guide she uses, apparently the standard is ACS.

Excellent. I like people to just tell me what to do. :)

Does that hold for people telling (or merely asking) you not to do things? Like, perhaps 'please don't split infinitives, it disturbs me"? (Oh, and the 'pronounciation' in the title of the related thread {and yes, I'd always thought of it as two syllables car-è})

Of course I'm following this, but it seems to be getting ahead very nicely without my intervention. For what it's worth, I'm with Ursa's definitive negative.

Sadly, no. I still left my crusts this morning. And oops, I hate mis-spelling thread titles. :(

All I can say is,

'Alchemist, when you get that there tractor o yours out past the whin bushes me an yous headin up the road sir. We'll take a wean o sodas and hav a wee chat wi that there Springs lad'. :) ;)

Sadly, since I'm nearer all the Ballys than Belfast, I suspect I'm one too.

Nice going springs when you 'google' Culchies in Space now; you get this thread. And now I'm going in circles.

How fab is that! I might print the google search out and frame it. :D
