What are you working on right now?

To be honest, most of it's the trilogy and when KA's out and sorted (expecting to announce here in a couple of weeks, btw) that'll be just the two books (and only redrafting for the second). Plus, I've not got that much to do with Plague (another chapter to sort, axing a little bit early on, altering for continuity and it's pretty much there). And the Black Sails edit will probably only take an hour or two.

I quite like having a lot to do and plans for the future. Unfortunately that does mean my free time for unexpected opportunities (anthologies or Kraxon shorts) is more limited. After the trilogy I'm going to stick with stand-alones for the foreseeable future, which will make things more flexible.

Just started my new NANO novel. No outline, no ideas, no clue where the hell this is going, but 3,500 words burped out of my brain today, so that's not nothing! I've got a weird cross-genre something or other involving an AI obsessed with pancakes, a black winged creature from somewhere else, my trusty investigator character Rex, and a mysterious little man with a bowler hat who seems to be at the heart of things.

Doing NaNo and started with a sequel to my first novel. I was banging my head a bit and decided to move to another project and am rewriting a book i started a couple years ago. It is so refreshing and I'm really having fun with it. And the words are flowing quite smoothly, so that helps!

Working on revisions based upon my the corrections/comments/suggestions provided my publisher's editor.
It's a Science Fiction/Alien Invasion novel titled Thunder Wells.

Slowly getting my first beta comments for my WIP, and planning out my next writing binge projects for January/February Fest. There won't be the same 400k written this year, as half of the projects are edits and rewrites.

Doing the edits for my Journeys short, Black Sails, and some pre-release stuff for Kingdom Asunder. When Black Sails is sorted I'll split time between KA and writing the first draft of the third back (or redrafting the second).

Going through the typeset PDF of my soon-(aargh!)-to-be-published book, making final text tweaks** and marvelling at how great the word "Terrace" looks when the "T" overhangs the "e".

**final apart from the annotations I'll be making in all the printed copies.

And after literally months, I've got beyond ch35 of the sequel!

Aaaaaaaaand I'm way behind on NANO. No way I'm getting any work done on it today. Too busy biting all of my fingernails off waiting for this election to be over...

Writing the last chapter of third Thumar book. Will soon have the first in the final edit phase. The book cover is done and I may have a release date of sometime in Feb in 2017.

I'm working on a short story series that needs editing help with the first two stories, I am in process of writing the third story in the series and then the fourth comes afterwards, but I am also working on a huge science fiction/fantasy novel too the first in the series The Dawn Awakening.

Still editing my book with the goad of NaNo this time. Made the latest version into an ebook and now doing another text-to-speech run-through.

I passed the 40k mark on THE DRAGON MISTRESS this morning. I'm only about 1/3 of the way into the story at this point. There are several points I need to hit going forward, but I'm not entirely sure how I'm getting there. That will be interesting.

One thing I was doing was writing some of the chapters from the dragon's POV. I found myself straying back into the human girl's head during them, however, so I think they're going to be cut in the rewrite, as they were quite sparse, and I can see myself preferring to write from the human's point of view, instead.

The book will contain just two POVs: the human protagonist, and that of one of the antagonists.

Closing out book three, a few pages to go to have the first draft done. I will hit 1000 pages, barely. Then I'm working on an Idea for my next.

I'm within touching distance of finishing the first draft of the novel I began in early August - just have the climatic scenes left to do, trying to figure out how to make a satisfying conclusion.
