Still idea-less

What a shameful performance. I should be brimming with ideas.

No excuse, I have been travelling and had so much time to think about it but I just couldn't spark that old mare in my mind. I've really hit a wall on these 75 worders lately. I think I broke my writer!

As suggested earlier, if you ask the mods nicely they might give you special dispensation to switch the genre and theme.

Thank you, Victoria, for the review.

And to Parson for the kind words (and taking the trouble to Google). I know not everyone is familiar with that particular art form, but that and the swan-maiden legends are favorites of mine, so I went with it.

But as for moderators issuing dispensations, I think not. No pardons, indulgences, or papal bulls, either!

Phyrebrat, there is still plenty of time to come up with a story. Think of all the people who submit something at the very last minute, and you have days left.

Well my mind's been totally blank on this one all month. But I thought I'd better at least try. It usually helps to have some instrumental music in the background, so today it was John Coltrane. And there we have it - two hours start to finish. Now I can relax until next month.

Mosaix! Have you been talking to Mouse about me? :D

(Or, alternatively, reading threads in the Lounge....)

I do feel bad (but in a needy baby/greedy baby way :D) as I have had a lovely PM from jastius encouraging me, and Teresa and Alc offering support.

Although Alc's offer was in jest, I think we definitely need a Chron's dance... I wonder if I could choreograph something without the kids becoming aware what I was using the class for :D

Anyway, I am not going insane with disappointment at my lack of musery, just a bit surprised. I blame ...er... the rain.

BigJ -- With a fine sense of humor, the author shows us how times change in unexpected ways.

TacticalLoco -- The pattern of a formal poem is used to contrast the ordinary and the unimaginably vast.

jastius -- This prose poem captures emotions ranging from the ecstatic to the tragic.
