DISCUSSION -- July 2014 75-word Writing Challenge

I'm in right behind Springs, which provides a nice change in tone from one to the other, or so I think.

Aun mate, I borrowed your shopping trolley, I hope you don't mind?
300 now. I have no ideas there yet.

Cool entries everyone. I'm in too with something from the dark side of my brain.

I agree with Juliana, if our first crop of stories is any measure this is going to be a month where the least story would vie with another month's best.

Ratsy: you've left me with an image that I want to erase from my mind, but can't. (Parson shivers yet again.)

Parson, sorry 'bout that. But I will take that as a compliment :)

Hi guys! I'm back, hurrah!
Sorry I haven't been on much, exams and all that, looking forward to writing for this but I have no ideas yet. I've recently been struck with a horrible case of writers block so this could either turn out horrifically or be the thing I need to unleash my creativity. Let's hope it's the latter?

Hey, Khayos! Nice to see you back! It's a great theme this month, you'll be fine! I'm concentrating on the 300 worder right now; I have a few ideas for the 75 worder, and I am curious to see which I will choose after the 300 worder is done! Good luck, CC

No worries! I borrowed your ray gun the other night! Heavy isn't it.

Ps Brilliant entries so far!

Or a distraction, a trap. You hear a rusty squeak and run, but are you running in the right direction?

I will admit however, carrying all my RAY GUNS around was getting to be a pain, so I do have a use for the trolley.

Wow, Victoria! I love your story. I never saw the ending coming...it is startling to me, and seems perfect, well done.

telford -- The author cleverly mixes two very different themes from popular culture to result in high comedy.

Ashleyne. B. Watts -- Through the use of imaginative details, the reader learns that there may be something very familiar in the most exotic relationships.

Flyerman11 -- This moody tale reveals an unsuspected aspect of an extraordinary being.

Karn Maeshalanadae -- The reader is held in suspense in this tense story with a twist in its tail.

Mouse -- With a sure touch, the author leads us from mundane reality to the realm of magic and then into darker places.

springs -- The sincere emotion of this touching fable is sure to reach the reader's heart.

Bowler1 -- Within the seemingly hopeless setting of this story lies an inspiring tribute to courage and dedication.

johnnyjet -- This tender and delicate fantasy ranks with the finest of Bradbury.

ratsy -- Through the cracked lens of a mind scarred by pain, we see the power of emotion.

Aun Doorback -- The author creates a complex and chilling future with a few carefully chosen words.

Khayos -- By drawing us into the feelings of ordinary people confronted with a terrible situation, the author brings this story to life.

Thanks for the review, Victoria. As usual I'm not disappointed by your wonderful entry. Nice.
