right so i had two ideas for this, think i have settled on the second. i now have the unusual problem of the first draft being too short. i need to find some extra words to add...

I was very tempted to shoot you for being down too, but as it's sort of my fault I'll let you off this time. You can't beat an old end of the world for being a little down, by default you could say. Anyway, thank you for the kind comments, appreciated. or - I'm not sure this time.

It is seventy-five words or fewer (well, actually I think it's 'or less', but for me…) so if your story works a bit shorter, and doesn't need any expansion, post it as it is.
