DISCUSSION -- July 2014 300-word Writing Challenge (#14)

Thank you so much, springs! :) I really liked yours, too! (Hey, do you know when your first book will be released to Kindle by Tickety?)

Good one, Telford! Wow, 3 more weeks of new stories, how cool!! :)

Very nice, Remedy, truly touching.

Four very diverse stories, this is great! (But I think I need to stop commenting so much! :))

Oooh, no, don't comment less!

Thanks, CC. I think Abendau's Child will be out in the autumn, but don't have a definite date yet. :)

Nice stories, Telford and Remedy. All different, as ever.

Thank you CC and springs. I really like the 300 for getting a proper taste of everyone's style (or seeing them try something new). :)

Nice ending ratsy.

Thanks Remedy. I must be in a sensitive mood since I had my characters cry in both challenges this month...I should go post that in the 'men shouldn't cry' thread from the lounge... :)

Never witnessed a 300-worder before. Can't wait to see what people come up with. :D

Well, if they're anything like me, not much. Or rather, too much. The picture is so rich it doesn't want to be squeezed into a few hundred words.

I had two ideas today. Looking at the entries so far, I see other people had them too :D

Excellent stories so far everybody!

Yeah... I wrote mine before reading the others, and once posted discovered that ratsy's (right above mine) was already about apocalyptic radiation.

But both of yours were very different; apart from the radiation, I woudn't have seen many links. Yours is the second story this month (the other a 75er) that reminded me of On The Beach.

You know, I came to find out when the next 300 word challenge was. Impeccable timing, if I may say so myself.

got an idea a couple of days ago and wrote my first draft on my phone in bed last night. now i just need ot find time to rewrite it. and seeing as i finish work in the uk (possibly for ever) on wednesday, time is not something i have much of... maybe i can finish it off on the beach in spain...
