I think Google have been trying to write this story for years.

Perhaps the files could be kindlized? Is it possible? I know that it once was at some point, (probably about three months ago... But that is like going back to the mesozoic era in internet years time relativity- wise..) Is there an app for that? Is kindlelization a. Word?

Well, since I am unlikely to sell anything I write, here's my various attempts. I was preparing one about a Christmas circus overtaking and joining with a coasting generation starship (which would have lit three of the request lights) but all of those boxes were ticked, so I abandoned it drifting at one tenth c. The DEO one was a last-minute request, so could do with some cleaning up, extending, improving… it was one I hadn't started preparing anything, not even a concept. But I done deaded the deadline .

So, this is the story I wrote for springs, who asked for someone resolving an emotional conflict in an unusual way. It's well... it's a bit silly, and a little bit dark, and I think it's funny in places.
