By 'The Cloud' does the theme mean cloud computing? Or can we interpret that phrase in different ways?

Michael, I imagine that, just as with the regular challenges, the theme is wide open to personal interpretation. @Hex?

Okay, nifty. I hope I don't come across as a whiny little brat when I ask that sort of thing in the different challenges, but I don't want to make a mistake.

Heh. You don't sound whiny. Just cautious. Cautious is good. It was a fair question!
I'm taking it to be open to interpretations, but perhaps Hex or JL will clear things up.

Like the other challenges it can be seen in any way you feel will fit your story best! Correct Juliana, had the same thought at first!

At this point I have three different ideas and am trying to figure out which one works best. Hopefully before the end of the challenge!

"Head in the Clouds" -- This touching story presents a rainbow of emotions.

"Directive 51" -- A strange and mysterious mood fills this eerie tale.

"Fallen Cloud" -- This richly imaginative creation shows us the importance of simple kindness.

Interesting theme. I have a bit of an idea I'll try and get in at some point over the next week. Will be my first time entering something like this.

Well this is embarrassing. I don't know how to PM. Computer illiterate old guy. Any one want to give me a clue?

Hi dd! I'll be glad to give it a shot (I'm also computer illiterate! ). In the very upper right of your screen you'll see (from right to left): Alerts..Inbox..ddawson (so, your username; this all appears, btw, in the grey bar at the top of the screen). Put your cursor over your user name, and a pull-down list appears. Click on 'Conversations'. In the mid-upper right of the new screen click on 'Start A New Conversation'. In the upper middle of the new page, in the 'Participants' field, type in the username of the person you wish to PM (I'm guessing it's J.L. with your story)...so type in J.L. Borstlap . (I think you will need the period after the initials.) His name should populate this box after you typed the J. , btw.

Then copy/paste your story into the message box below. I'll mention that you should probably scan your story in the PM message after you've pasted it, and before you send the PM...when you copy/paste it seems to usually alter the spacing of your paragraphs...and if you have italics, say, please make sure that they carry over in the PM. Okay, maybe too much detail?? Hope that helped, CC
