The 300-worder is up. As always with the longer form, entries can be posted from the 10th of the month (in this case July), but that doesn't mean no-one can talk about the challenge until then.

And as ever, the image is only there to provide inspiration; your story does not have to reference it, even indirectly.

One look and I already have an idea. I'm sure it will change 15 times before I submit anything though.

Wow, what an image. Good one, Holland. My mind immediately turned to mush. Nothing new there. I shall have to cogitate.

Wicked photo, holland. Can't wait to see what everyone does. :)

I love this picture, the second I saw it was hit with an idea, not sure how to wrap that into a story yet, but great, great picture.

A great photo, Holland...full of potential and inspiration. I have my idea, I have my rough draft...now, 9 days to edit. :) Best of luck, all! I can't even imagine the crazy, wonderful ideas this photo will inspire in our writers!

Glad you guys like it :)

I suppose I'm also allowed to enter, right?

How have people already written their stories? o_O Still scrabbling for the thread of a story over here, and might be for quite a while...

Don't worry @marmalade, 75 worders I can pick an idea out of my hat and write in seconds (although I'm holding off the current one 'cause I'm getting too many at once!)...trying to find a story from a picture is something that takes a different path in my creative mind, I've found.

My idea hit me as soon as I saw the photo. Now I am second guessing myself and thinking the idea is so obvious half a dozen others will have the same idea. I've written a draft though and brought it in at 298 words, so I'll leave it for a few days and see how I feel about it after it settles.
