So .... is mine in the 500 rejections they haven't got round to sending out yet or in the 100 they are still considering.....
This appears to be a new form of psychological torture Good job I decided not to let it get to me .........

I got a feeling at the end of last week that it was going to be close, and I'm really curious to see which one drops in.

OK ... first rejection received about 20 minutes ago. Standard one, with congratulations for completing a novel etc and how thrilled they were by the imagination etc of the writers.

Second MS is still in there ...

Possibly -- though if I lasted that long I'd probably assume it had fallen down the back of their virtual sofa and they'd only just found it.

Quite! Bit of a deja vu - I once won a children's novel comp and the (major mainstream) publisher was meant to look at the whole MS with a view to perhaps publishing it. After a year, they returned it saying they had found it down the back of a filing cabinet in an office move! Needless to say, no comment on the fact that it had been under consideration .....
