Anyway, I'm off to read through the stories and vote. This has nothing to do with the threat.

On my shortlist were @Juliana, @LittleStar, and @ratsy. Really enjoyed all of these, but my vote went to @StilLearning - it made me chuckle and I liked that it was a bit of a twist of the genre.

Or a chicken madras pistol?
Or my favourite, a trifle rifle!

The type of danger that stuffs your guts until you explode and weapons banned in all good restaurants.

Ah, it feels good to be back. I see not much has changed around here. People here are still as hungry and violent and pun-frenzied as always. Good. Anyways, I couldn't narrow my list down any further than this. Don't let the number of noted contenders dilute the merit of being on my list!

Redemption is a tough nut to crack. Well, it is when mixed with cyberpunk. Hard to come up with something and hard to choose my winner but in the end (or in the beginning, if I'm being honest) I was pretty sure it was going to be Robert Mackay's offering that got my vote. And it did
