Who is Alain?

No harm done, Jaxom. It's one of those things that make me wonder why she did that. Henry and Henri and then two boys. And then the first section is called The Motherless Child, but there isn't any mention of Sanglant. Interesting...

Interesting that you ask that Nixie, I often, and still do think that Liath might have been that same girl, but she's not. For a while there I wondered if we would see that 'girl' but we haven't and I don't know if we ever will at this point in the series. I think it may have been one of those points in the story that Kate was going to develop and never did.

When you finish reading The Child of Flame it all will be made clear. And to answer your question... YES, they are.

Bernard is dead? Alain is the child of a whore and an Aoi shade. What he 'is' with relevance to the story - God knows. Part of me just wants him to be nothing now. However, he is mainpulated by so many forces it seems unlikely.

Why would Alain be brought back in time to Adica if he was part Aoi? And if he is part Aoi, how did he not get effected by the Great Weaving?

that's an interesting question I never thought of before. I'll have to think on that one for a while. And you might think of Alain as not Aoi. I'm not so sure he is.
