Amazon reviews - quality vs quantity

Amazon.com is a little confusing!
There are different stats and reports on KDP pages for author than on the "author central" (US .com sites). The US Author Central also has USA map updated I think on the 10th each month. The Ranking on Author Central doesn't match the public book page either (It's much better!).

Here's why Kindle Unlimited makes a difference. Kindle Unlimited is being flooded with 3,000-page garbage books that suck money out of the system It's also how a system can be manipulated too. On the internet, for better or worse, it all adds up. The authors misusing the system will suffer. Bad feedback is dangerous and builds into reputation, it makes media more reluctant to cover a book, author or publisher.

Interesting thread. I wish I had all the answers. I don't. I always have believed in the value of organic reviews. I can honestly say they are the only type I have. Sadly they don't seem to have much impact.
