May 2016 100 Word Challenge -- Discussion Thread

Congratulations, Wruter! It's a terrific story! And Victoria, I loved your story, too!
Congrats to all involved...from first to last the stories were uniformly fine this challenge...really well done, all! :)

I saw a few reviews pop up in the thread, if I remember correctly, they had been transferred over here by voting time. I would assume whoever did us the favor of cleaning up also locked to keep more of the same from happening.

Now you need to think up a theme and genre for this month's 100.

Also we need a volunteer to run it. Anyone?

We need to start this fairly quickly so it's all over and done with before the start of July, when there's a 300.
 
@mosaix has asked me to post a theme and genre here for the next anonymous challenge. I confess you caught me on the hop as I thought this was every two months but looking back through the threads I see this is not always the case. Sorry!

Theme: Youth

Genre: Science fiction or fantasy

All we need now is a volunteer. I was going to put myself forward but I'm away for a week from the 25th which is just when the poll would probably need setting up etc.

Anyone?
 
I guess I could do it. Only it seems maybe too late for this month? Maybe next month or the month after would be better? I also note there were a reduced number of entries here compared to previously so maybe a break would increase interest?
 
I would but I just started my new job and haven't settled into a routine yet and have the idea that my schedule will be packed.
 
Waiting until next month might not be necessary - if we can get someone to run it, a quicker deadline could prove an interesting challenge!
