I have now rewritten my entry, changed the title, and tucked it away in Ideas to Pursue.

Thanks ensign! I'm working it up into a short story right now. It's getting a bit raunchy as the main character is kind of a butt head, but I'm liking the concept. I just read Permutation City so the idea of copies doing your dirty work was brewing for a while. Now to think up something for stage fright.
 
Well done Droflet, well deserved :D ! Sorry this post is a bit late, and for not finding time to post a list of I.D. guesses – busy times. Thanks Cathbad, Cats cradle and, Starbeast for the mentions, and Mad Alice for the (totally unexpected and very welcome) vote. I realy enjoyed all the stories, there's not one I would'nt have been very proud of if it had been mine, and getting a shortlist that wasn't all of them took me ages.
