Super (Secret) 8

I've got a completed first draft, so someone will get something. A couple of days of panel beating and polishing and I'll send 'er off.

It's the first thing I've completed longer than the challenges, so it's been a success for me already. (y)

Biggest contributing factor to completion - Threat of Boar Worms!
 
Doubt I'll be on time but I'll try. Might have to work this weekend, which suuuucks. But yay overtime!
 
In under the wire. Hell of a rough draft but it's something! :)
 
Had a couple of days off work at the end of last week and I think I've broken the back of the story. I'm on the home stretch but what with Christmas coming up, I'm not sure when I'll be finished. :(
 
I massively underestimated the effort it would take to get it into shape, but it's less rougherer at least, and it's in.

Now I'm looking forward to reading some! :)

I've had most of the stories in but am waiting for 4 more (Jo - I can't find it, did you email or PM it? I have looked in both places and can't see it).

Also one of the participants has had to drop out.

In the meantime I am ready to send the nine I have...

Thanks Ph. I read mine last night, and was pleasantly surprised by the direction in which my request had been taken; it certainly wasn't what I expected, and was all the better for it. For a flash piece, it was well rounded and built to a unsettling denouement. I also liked the formatting flourishes, too - very nice.

So many thanks to the author for the early Christmas present; now all I must do is figure out who you are... :ninja:

Though I will refrain from guessing until the guessing thread is up.
 
My story (the one I received) was superb as well. Such a cool ending. Can't wait to figure out the author.
 
Yep. My story was awesome. Grim. Creepy ending. Chock full of character. A little gem of an early crimbo pressie! Thanks muchly secret author.
 
I definitely enjoyed the one I got. Fit the requirements to a non-Euclidean T.
 
Mine was right up my alley, very cool concept and great MC. As for guesses, not a clue, but mega Xmas joy vibes to whoever it was! :D
 
I must humbly report that I am the lucky recipient of two (yes, two!) stories, each quite different from each other, both awesome! Thanks, secret writers. Excellent job! Now, to guessing....
