September 2016 100 Word Anonymous Writing Challenge Discussion Thread

Hah, well, what a surprise! There were so many terrific stories! And great genre/theme choices, Drof. Thanks so much to everyone who voted for my story...yikes!

I want to say that I hope 'fjart' didn't offend anyone. I saw the genre/theme pairing, and went to make lunch and have a think on a story idea, and that line just popped into my head...I started laughing at how ridiculous it was, and I thought "What the heck?". This challenge was a fun experience...I had an idea for a story, wrote it up, and had it posted within 20 minutes. And it was a blast reading the other fun entries.

I guess we take a pass for October, because of the 300 worder? If that's right, I'll come up with a genre and theme for the next contest, hopefully in November. Thanks again, everyone! CC

ps - Cory, anxious to see which story was yours! Both of the other stories in the vote off were wonderful!

Mine was about the department of motor vehicles, which I must get to soon as my license will expire.

It was inspired by the song by Primus, DMV.

By the way, though my wife thinks I'm intolerable lately, being labeled "Brilliant" and "Kafkaesque" has been a highlight of the infancy of my writing career. All this on a month where I tossed off a few ideas to see if they worked. I'll take my silver medals and go hide in my hole now.

Likes for everyone! Thank you all for kind words. I've said it 87 times already, but well done to Coast too...professional-level hosting there!

Terrific story, Cory! Hope things go well at the DMV for you, and not at all as happened to the MC in your story. :) Primus, huh? I'll always think of them fondly for the South Park theme.

*got guesses dance*

Fun times everyone!!

I think we usually take November off as well for nnwm (or however that acronym is) so it'd be December.

Unless someone not writing a November Novel wants to run it for other no-novel writers...

(PS to anyone who hasn't had a November here yet, prepare for a confetti of elation and agony. Nnwm is pretty popular, there's usually a thread or three about it. :) most of the game threads die down a bit, and discussions tend to be invaded by or center around what people are working feverishly at. Everyone pretty much gets a pass till after Christmas because life.)
