September 2016 100 Word Anonymous Writing Challenge Discussion Thread

I think I'm better at guessing other people's correct guesses than making guesses myself.

I don't want to try and vote or guess on my phone though, so I'm glad both are open through the weekend. I won't have larger-than-phone access til Sunday afternoon pacific time.

Making anything more than random gueses seems much more difficult to me this time, especially with a lot of dialogue pieces (not that I've ever managed to get more than a couple correct anyway) so I'm just going to try a few:

But then would the other guessers use this knowledge, and give themselves away by attributing their own stories to this herring?!

Or would they pick an entrant they know isn't the herring to protect their own identities?!

These 'guesses' truly fulfil the definition of that word...there is only one I am reasonably sure of, really. I haven't cross-referenced the other guessers' correct guesses...so I'd be surprised if I have more two or so, correct....but let's find out!
