February 2017 100 Word Anonymous Writing Challenge Discussion Thread

Voting is LIVE! *megalomaniacal laughter*

Thanks again to everyone who made this a fun challenge!

Feel free to throw guesses up, I wont say until the third though. That's when the voting closes.

But I promise to hop back over to the cyber cafe and give a tally of the guessing then. *broad wink*

I forget the order of things, but I think you're supposed to put up a list of authors, along with a red herring or two, at some point along the way?

Well I'll give it a few days at least before I give up the list. I always think it's terribly fun to see who people think I sound like, and if there is a list that rather narrows who I could be doesn't it?

*can be bribed to put the list up earlier than the 3rd with cakes, cookies, and/or books.*

Great stories, every one!!

THE BEST

A Crime Of Passion.
Star Crossed Sleuth
Alan Millstone, Fight For Your Life! (An Interactive Thriller)
Time Loves a Mystery
From the Secret Notes of Dr. Bradley Campbell, Criminal Psychologist, February 14, 2017

BUT I VOTED FOR

Daddy’s Little Girl

"The Alternative" -- This chilling tale probes deep into the psyche of one maddened by emotion.

"Body of Evidence" -- The misleading calm tone of this suspenseful story conceals the darkness at its heart.

"Et Tu Brute?" -- The razor-sharp satire of this tale of political intrigue strikes home indeed.

"Death of the Handyman John Smith" -- The anonymity of this story's narration strengthens its theme.

And my vote goes to "From the Secret Notes of Dr. Bradley Campbell, Criminal Psychologist" for the depth of its insight into the kind of the character.

Hugely difficult to pick a favourite this month. My shortlist below, vote in bold.

Greater Love Hath No Man - Clever and genuinely touching, the ultimate expression of forgiveness.
Star Crossed Sleuth - An artfully-crafted noir-style take on the Shakespearean classic.
Ben, The Two of Us - Chilling and heart-rending in equal measure. Raises many questions, each more disturbing than the last.
Love's Letters Lost - Beautifully sad story of opportunities not taken.
Time Loves a Mystery - A clever time-travelling piece, told with wit and panache.
Body of Evidence - Marvellously ambiguous, rich with a curious melancholy.

I may have to start reading mysteries! Fun challenge!
