Writing contest - 48 Hour Flash Fiction 2017

This sounded like so much fun if I had picked up on this thread earlier I might just have given it a go. :)

Another reason to write humor. Then it's ok if they laugh at you.

I desperately wanted to write a comic tale, especially with the dialogue line I had - "Sorry, not my circus, not my monkeys". The problem was I couldn’t fit that into something amusing when adding in the title and optional science.

My tale was a near future account of the next step in identity theft. When you can wear a new face every day, cheaply grown at home nearly as quickly as it takes to make a latte, and no one ever sees the real you. When you have a registered face for each day of the week, carefully selected and loved. Where everyone in society wears one of these masks. What happens when those designs get stolen and worn by criminals instead?

Having another itch of my list fetish... below is what I gleaned about what we were given as prompts from the contest from the above (apologies in advance if I've missed anyone / anything out).

Title
WHERE WE LEFT LILY
Dialogue
They are quite strong so you might want to just take one for now.
Science (optional) 3D printed human body parts are possible - muscle, veins, bone. They don't HAVE to be 'conventional'
(TheDustyZebra)

Title THE CONTROLLER
Dialogue It isn't unnatural. It is all natural. 100% natural. We just tweaked it a little.
Science (optional) Augmented reality becomes so good we neglect reality, when the system to fails, the decay is revealed.
(Cathbad)

Title: A WORD ABOUT JASON
Dialogue: Me, me, me, that's the most important thing... me!
Optional Science Idea: Billions have a brain interface connected directly to the cloud, which a terrorist network has now hacked.
(Serendipity)

Title: THE TAKERS
Dialogue Sorry, not my circus, not my monkeys
Science (optional) A machine that creates realistic face masks so people can cheaply change identity
(Luiglin)

Title: MARGIN FOR ERROR
Dialogue Do I know you from somewhere? You look familiar.
Science (optional) A retro-virus drastically extends the lifespan of those who catch it. Should a cure be found?
(Sinister42, Coast)

I'm sorry, wait, Coast and Sinister42 had the exact same prompts?

Err... no, I went back and looked, and Coast had the same science prompt but likely different title and dialogue. I can edit above if anyone likes, and if we get any more info.

I see on Twitter that they're saying "416+" stories in, whatever that means. 417? So that's down considerably from the 2000 registered.

Or maybe that's how many of the 2k plus they've read?

Well, since they didn't send an email saying it was time to start, I imagine quite a lot of people forgot.

And then some had other things to do and couldn't start, and others couldn't finish, and some couldn't think of anything at all.

Happy for people to add / amend lists as and when new info is volunteered. Thank you in advance.

I haven't got a receipt back for my entry. So now suspect it's got lost in the internet ether. I may be the only one in this position, or there may be others like me. If the latter reason, it would also count towards the large drop in numbers from 2068 to 416+.

I would have totally forgotten about it if I hadn't entered a bunch of reminders on my phone.
