I have not read all of the posts but...
As a reader only (not a writer) there are a number of well known very very successful authors of whom I will not read their books. I either don't like the way the books are written or the subject matter is distasteful or the characters are, disagreeable.(not the right word but can't think of a different one) If I wrote reviews for those authors they would not be complimentary in any way.
So...
You have some bad reviews, that is going to happen. Remember, you can't please everyone.
Question: When do you quit?
Answer: When you have nothing to say.
