Discussion Thread -- April 2018 75-word Writing Challenge

All seriousness aside, yes, it's very important to my story. And where do you get those prices from? I can get 2 for a nickle downtown.

Thanks for the reviews Parson & Victoria...
Victoria I appear to have two... is the second one for the 300?

The muse, struck me late this month. I'm glad I could join the Pool Party.

Where's the buffet?

@Starbeast .... Remembering Edgar .... Beasty goes all melancholy on us as he remembers the great Poe and the great Price.

The buffet is on the 6th level of the 1000 post club.

I'll try again. What would the word count be for $128.16? I don't want to buy anything!

Remember, there are no stooped questions.
Oliver Twist

@Bob Senior - I've used currency amounts for a few of my stories. Using an exact amount, that is written numerically, would count as one word.
Examples: $1.98 or even $7,350,744.00, would be considered one word.

I've used rough amounts too.
Examples: Thousands or Billions, is of course one word.

Sometimes I like to use double amounts, or other ways to indicate how much.
Examples: Forty-forty mag (two words). or "I gave him, several twenties" (two words)

I hope that helps Bob. :)

Thanks Starbeast, Chris' answer confused me, I do confuse easily these days.
This month really got away from me, we got burried in 46.5 in of snow in 2 weeks, 30" last weekend.
Story goes in tomorrow come snow or high water.

Apologies @Bob Senior, despite you saying you didn't want to buy anything I read it as how much would a 75 word cost - I obviously hadn't used up my stupid quotient for the day.

As to the snow, beeping hell and here's us in the UK falling apart if we get a couple of inches - still hate it though.

You mean I am stuck at the continental breakfast for the next 673 posts? It's better than the gruel I was eating before I became a "well known member", but still...

Nope, you've been earmarked down to wander around with a silver tray replete with a huge pyramid of ferrero roche to suffer from 'Ambassador, you are spoiling us' quips from everyone you pass.
