This month seriously had so much depth of talent, as evidenced by the nearly unprecedented spread of votes (I say "nearly" because I'm pretty sure we had a month or two that did that in the past), it's a real honor to squeak by at the wire. I'm proud of everyone, so well done, you!

Thank you so much, guys -- now please start slipping me ideas for next month, preferably wrapped in chocolate. (Oh, lord, did I just tell Jo to wrap a sexy space pilot in chocolate?)

My Story: A late library book (I hoped no one chose that idea), borrowed by myself along with my talking horse buddy Tonto, included a fierce sorceress who worked for the library as an enforcer to recover overdue books, is what I came up with.

The book, CALAMISTRATUS LARIDUM, is Latin for CRISPY BACON.
