Hi all,

Lots of good'uns to choose from this month. I figured Tywin or HB would get my vote until I came across TDZ's entry.

I've counted (3 times!) trying to see how many of the story entrants have actually voted.

Sadly I got a very different number each time so it's clearly not worth bothering about ;)
 
It's not a tall tale when I say, all the stories are on my short list, (it's's just a short cut).
In the end it came down to 2. The Judge put the "Ow" in meow and the "Purrr" in perfect with Feline Great(and I'm a dog guy). But my vote goes to (drumroll) Autorarius's Solely written for the porpoise of punning. It made me laugh And think. (That's mult-tasking). It reminded of an old Far Side comic. A deer is standing on his 2 legs hiding behind a tree while 3 men in hunting caps carrying rifles march towards him. The thought bubble above the deer says "Quick, think, where do I know these guys from?" .

Well, it's so much easier to manipulate the data after having voted, but the poll shows 29 votes, with Phyrebrat having voted without a submission. Thus twenty eight of the writers had already voted at the moment I started this post. Having read everyone’s entries now... I think I can see that I definitely missed the theme and the mark with mine! I shall put it down to general confusion and a rushed entry :X3::whistle: But anyway, it’s been a good month for stories, and I’ve got a healthy list of mentions to give :giggle:

I thought Teresa's genre and theme choices inspired a lot of really good stories. It was a fun month for reading. I'll post my lists, but it was tough because there were a few stories I really liked, that didn't seem to quite hit the genre; it could have been me just missing something. But anyway, here we are:

Shortlist:
Ashleyne, Cathbad, HairBrain, Alex, Peter V, Vaz, jackwinabox56, johnnyjet, Mr. Orange

Finalists:
Virginia, Shyrka, TJ, TDZ

I thought all of these were terrific, and I had a very hard time picking a favorite, but there was that little bit of hope in TDZ's that just pipped the others for me, in the end. Excited to see who pulls out the victory this month.
