DISCUSSION THREAD -- August 2019 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

@johnnyjet ... The Flower Whisperer .... John gives us a lighthearted noir and a memorable last line. I'll never hear that line in quite the same way again!
 
@J.C. Scoberg .... An age-old dance .... JC reminds us of the bloody business of gardening.

(And taught me a word. I've never heard of "freshers" as people. As a S.F. person I thought of the "fresher" that a crew member would have in his/her cabin for cleansing purposes so was confused until I made Google my friend again.)
 
@mosaix .... Gone To Ground .... Mosaix writes a story filled with lyrical allusions with a solid noir underpinning.

@M. Robert Gibson .... Everywhere the devil spits .... M. Rob writes a 75 that is too perfectly noir in a planted punny sort of way.

@Culhwch .... Career Counselling .... Cul gives us a light hearted rendition of "Not seeing the forest for the trees."

@Vince W .... I Is For Infestation .... Vince reminds us that if it's hard to keep a good man down try the same thing with an mutating badie.

@StilLearning .... Cops and Gardeners .... Still shows the distance between seri
 
Well, I'm in. Finally had an idea, and turned in my first 15 min. wonder. Usually I spend at least an hour or three, but not this time for whatever reason.
 
@Perpetual Man .... Carrot. P.I. .... Perp tells a tale which opens the lid on the vegetable bin, and not all is rosy.

@HoopyFrood .... Retirement Plan .... Hoops' story confirms what I'd always suspected, some retirement plans are nothing less than a hole in the ground.
 
Well, I'm in, and TDZ has never missed a 75 yet, so we should have 38 stories, but yes a bit disappointing. That'll teach you lot for voting for me and allowing me to indulge in esoteric genres!

Meanwhile, if there is anyone else out there who hasn't filed a story, there's still a few hours left -- get writing!
