Discussion - October 75 Word Writing Challenge

@Ian Fortytwo .... A Myth Can Kill .... Ian points out that a myth may have more than one foot firmly in reality.

@Marvin .... The Myth Makers .... Marvin has done more to make me believe in ancient astronauts than all of the brain dead mocumentaries I've ever seen.

@nixie .... Someone is Always Watching .... Nixie brings to the black place between life and death that makes us shudder even while we are only vaguely aware of why we are shuddering.

I’m in, and this entry marks my ‘official’ one year anniversary of participating in the writing challenges.
I enjoy it immensely, and while I have no inclination to write fiction outside of these forums, I think the appeal here harkens back to that part of me that loves an assignment. Yes, I was that student who enjoyed composing on a given theme for tests back in high school and CEGEP English. Unfortunately, my science disciplines drew my focus away for many years. I am so grateful to have found this group and rediscover the this creative part of me.

@LittleStar .... Sunset .... Star writes us a moody piece with a wonderful mythic setting.

@elvet .... How Time Measured Up .... Elvet lets us in on a secret: "The rat race is rigged by Shadows."

@scarpelius .... Only the truth will set you free? .... Scar asks the question and then gives a logical but surprising answer.

Day 8. The muse is beyond me.

This is not an easy one for me. I had trouble with a similar challenge.

I wrote two stories and both don't come close to what is required.

I stare at the definitions of "Fables" & "Mythology", but nothing comes to mind, for now.

In the same boat :(
