IIRC previous challenges the guessing game has run concurrent with voting.

What AMB said. I had posted a list of contributors (in previous challenges) while the voting was on going, just to keep some momentum up in the thread, and give people something to work with for the guessing. Everthying was still anonymous.

I'm a newby here so it's the first one of these I have looked at and I don't know the historic traditions, which I will bow to.

So glad to have you participate. Welcome!
This is an informal part of the Challenge, so the guessing rules are flexible. Which is why I started asking when to post the list.
The next big decision is do we try and run @farntfar 's game?

As it happens, there is no need to go into the "apparent" (**) complications that I suggested, since next month should have a 300 word challenge, if I'm not mistaken, and therefore there will be no 100, until August.
As such, the guessing game can continue for as long as you like, without any delay to the next challenge. You just have to release the name of the winning story, without the name of its author until the guessing game is finished, or simply remove the winnering story and its author from the game.

(** I also don't believe that my method of prolonging the guessing game is actually complicated really. But my explanations of these things often are. )

Hmm A quick check suggests things are looking pretty dead now and there are still less votes than stories
Maybe future-ward this endeavor could be moved to the 'Writing Challenges' section which strikes me as more appropriate than workshop.

Unfortunately, the 'less votes than stories' is a side effect of multiple entries
Although at the time of posting there are only 18 votes from the 20 contributors

Perhaps a reminder in the current 75 worder might help

With the NEW rule about all writers, that we can officially submit more than one story for an ANON challenge. Nice. But, we'll see how it plays out.
