DISCUSSION THREAD -- May 2020 -- 75-Word Writing Challenge

@Calliopenjo .... Garden Gnome .... When you are looking for a perpetrator, remember and say three times: "There's no place like Gnome."

@dannymcg and @nixie have me worried about reading the next story. Biting bullet and reading now:

@nixie .... Fun in the Snow .... Shuddering I ask: "Is Batman in the bag?"

@elvet .... The Park Ranger (A Campfire Tale) .... Sometimes you hear a hoot owl and sometimes there's a were-owl hooting. I think tonight would be a good night to avoid the campfire.

@chrispenycate .... What? And leave show biz? .... Here we have a case of elf examination which might help a person Somake better choices.

@Elckerlyc .... Night Shift ... Sometimes being careful isn't being careful enough.

@Avelino de Castro .... Night Owls... When you're dealing with a night owl, payback is ...... (a hoot).

Kharn: Sometimes dreams do come true, but some dreams are nightmares.

Calliopenjo: Innocence is the best disguise for guilt.

nixie: Nature takes no sides, and will help or hinder anyone.

elvet: Ugly is only skin deep.

chrispenycate: Life in the spotlight has its less glamorous aspects.

Elckerlyc: Some secrets should be kept in the family.

Avelino de Castro: Sometimes you have to fight back, within legal limits.

Ian Fortytwo: The middle of the food chain can be an uncomfortable position.

AMB: A tiny danger becomes serious when multiplied.

Starbeast: Listen for the unexpected wisdom of the young.

Apologies @scarpelius - my entry touches similar territory to yours. I never look at others' stories until I've finished my own as I find it too paralysing, but, while I cannot have taken any ideas from your entry, it's always possible, I suppose, that I may have done some psychic pickpocketing of your brain.

Thank you, Victoria Silverwolf, for the spot-on review. As always, a huge thanks to you and Parson for the terrific reviews. I always enjoy reading them all, CC
