Thank you for the reviews, mentions, and votes! Been a long time since I did one of these - nice to see the 'old traditions' are still going strong.

Honourable mentions:
@Marvin - Deadly Sin: No.5
@Cat's Cradle - I've Rummaged Through Your Pack
@Lawrence Twiddy - Missed "I Love You's"
@mosaix - Better Late Than Never?
@johnnyjet - Who Ya Gonna Call?

And the vote to:
@Edoc'sil - Father's Regret

@Lenny - Thanks so much for the vote! there's some real tough contenders this month, I wasn't expecting even 1, so it is appreciated. I'm glad to know someone liked it.

It really is getting difficult to make shortlists with these here challenges.
Therefore this month I've tried to be really strict and only consider those entries that I think fulfil the criteria of a three act story:
  1. Beginning - the set up
  2. Middle - the conflict
  3. End - the resolution
and limit the runners-up to three.

So, runners-up be...
King In The North - @paranoid marvin
Recycling - @Daysman
Regretfully Yours - @Ursa major

and vote to...
Sinful of Ashes - @Iwroteathing

Some great stories this month (as usual). So many to choose from, but Edoc'sil with a truly poignant tale and Marvin with a very funny story make my shortlist. Lenny wins it for me with the an adventure that doesn't have a fairytale ending.

Thank you for the mention @Lenny ;)

My shortlist:

Her Happy Ending - @Laura R Hepworth
Alone with a Barbarian's Thoughts - @Bren G
Better Late Than Never? - @mosaix
A Princess' Duty and Regret - @Parson

My only vote goes to a story I could not stop thinking about after I read it and I was imagining all the different places the protagonists relationship could go and found myself wanting to continue the story with some fan fiction. :giggle:
Victory Parade - @Peter V
