Hidden Gift

Woodland Walk

Deeply impressed by both.
Thanks for making the normally head scratching task easy this time.
Hi, @Astro Pen, you haven’t recorded your votes on the poll page. Was that deliberate? If not, there is a link to it in @elvet ’s last entry on the stories page. There is another link to it in entry no. 75 in this thread (previous page).

Er yes I have actually. @Provincial They are both still boldened with the check mark for me when I look. Check it again :)
Sadly I am the only vote on those two stories so far.

The Spy Who Exsanguinated Me: Set a thief to catch a thief is a rule that applies to other sorts of folks.

The Secret Princess: Sometimes reality is too harsh to face directly.

The Lily is Guilded: Advancing technology often makes culture norms obsolete.

I've got a secret.: When everybody loses, nobody wins.

The Big Picture: Practice makes better, if not perfect.

My favourites are:
It's Snow Secret
Gone With the Groan
The Unutterable
Nouvelle Cuisine, again? Sigh!
The Spy Who Exsanguinated Me

and, of course Ancient Catronauts

My votes: The Butterfly and Show, don't tell

Here are some statistics about our contributors.
We have 40 stories written by 21 authors.
1 person entered 5
5 entered 3
5 entered 2
10 entered 1

We're going to need to use those statistics in the guessing game, Elvet, when you give us the list of the 21 authors, after the end of the vote.
Are we going to need any new rules for the guessing, in the light of this?
Anyone got any ideas?

I never know how much info to give out. Certainly, the entries should be voted on without knowing who wrote them.
However, I feel that the winner should be announced as soon as the poll is closed.
Comments?

Yes, certainly anounce the winning story, straight after the close of the voting, but not necessarily the author, until the game is over, I would say..

I think the author should be mentioned. I feel some participants lose interest in the challenge and wander off without knowing who gets the allocades. You end up with 'Congrats writer of ...'
But hopefully more will chime in on this.

Yes, I think the winner’s name should be announced as well as the story which won the comp.
