I'm not keen on sites that demand registration but that seems a little harsh when they're providing a free service that you wish to use. They are already paying you in the form of the service they are providing to you for no charge. It's obviously your choice whether that is sufficient recompense for for their getting a small amount of your data. I have a similar issue with people who grumble about adverts on YouTube etc. Yes, I find them annoying but if I choose to watch the content provided by the contributors then surely the least I can do is support them with the few meagre pennies they are given by the advertisers. If they wish to make money from my personal information (because that's what most of them do), they can pay me to register, if not, they can forget it.
Despite you saying not AI I have to say that the vehicle looks like a typical AI c*ck up.As drawn by Simon Stålenhag. Known for Tales from the Loop -- below is not AI - this is from one of his books.

Watching a few adverts is simply not the same as giving away your personal information. That is far too high a price to pay, and who knows who they are selling that information on to? Of course, there is a law that supposedly prevents this, but all the company needs to do (if challenged) is provide lawful basis and if they can then do this they are able sell the information on without the owner's consent.I'm not keen on sites that demand registration but that seems a little harsh when they're providing a free service that you wish to use. Do you have a link? I'm not convinced that is real. The car is a botch job (as noted by @Astro Pen) with two fronts, but also, the traffic lights are all lit (pale orange), and the wire that is meant to attach to the RHS of the second cross-bar down doesn't.As drawn by Simon Stålenhag. Actually, no. It very well could be a fake. I simply googled his name and picked an image. If it is AI then it is surprisingly detailed and complex.Do you have a link? I'm not convinced that is real. Also, I have all his books and I don't recognise it.
Another reason I like the Muzzy site. No personal information. No money. Only banner ads. The fee is to not have ad blocker on. The site appears to use Google Adsense which of course derives its data from THE GOOGLE. Any more discussion on THAT subject should be redirected to the conspiracy room.Watching a few adverts is simply not the same as giving away your personal information. P.S. it's not a free service if you are having to pay in the currency of your own personal details.
I have looked at several Text-to-Image sites and had the same experience. If you are familiar with basic programming you can set up your own Text-to-image generator on the Perchance site. They are a huge AI (stable diffusion) community with T2I generators, chatbot generators, online RPG AI and much more. Some of the t2i generators have a button where you can then "chat" with the image you've created.I've been looking into alternatives beyond Muzzy AI that might bring more flexibility but there's a problem. It's always been my policy never to use a website that demands I register with it. That's a red line I'm not prepared to cross. I think it should be my choice and mine alone whether I wish to register or not because I see no reason why any of those making it mandatory need access to any of my personal information. If they wish to make money from my personal information (because that's what most of them do), they can pay me to register, if not, they can forget it.
It appears that most AI sites demand registration and that's not going to happen so it looks like my exploration into AI is coming to an end.
I looked at them as well but most appear to be tailored to do only specific things (eg anime or cute furry animals). I tried the superhero simulator but could only see a video of the Marvel title sequence to click on and nothing else that seemed to work. Others, as you say, seem to have been taken over and I think you've chosen the best and safest of the lot.I have looked at several Text-to-Image sites and had the same experience. It is all over my head. There are several generators on Perchance that use the same format. I picked that one to link to since it seemed to be rarely used. Many have been taken over by teenagers. And nobody wants to see what they are chatting about.
I'd be thrilled to find out that someone from this SFFChron understands computer basics, prepared a better generator on the Perchance site and shared it with SFFChron.

That seems to be the case. I am quite happy to put up with the ads rather than having to register and I think that's a good model. It's just a shame Muzzy AI Gen is not a bit more flexible. I think it's very good at static imagery (and I think excels when it comes to things cosmolgical). I just wish you could make the characters generated a bit more dynamic.
This is the kind of thing I think it does best

I've noticed that but I don't know why. When I create an anime image there is certainly a much greater impression of movement. When you look at the other generators, quite a few of them deal with anime and I wonder if the AI was initially created for anime and everything else is just a branch from that.It actually be much more dynamic if you are creating anime.
I'm getting a little closer using this one. It definitely prefers anime style for action. Here is another Perchance generator -- I don't understand it, but it does seem to offer a lot more nuance.
