DISCUSSION THREAD -- JUNE 2022 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

@Perky .... An Angel .... Perky tells us how trees are the root of a whole colony of life, and a contended one at that.

@Aknot .... The Rooting .... Aknot gives us a taste of the randomness of life.

@Elckerlyc .... The Greenery Convenes .... Elck puts to rest the notion that humans are the only ones who can't really get along.

@mosaix .... Seed of Doubt... .... Mosaix makes me glad he's writing a fantasy because even today farmers lose a lot of races to vegetation.

I was born in the seventies so not familiar with the movie, but I do get the joke now!

I would strongly recommend seeking it out:

"The Wicker Man is well-regarded by critics. Film magazine Cinefantastique described it as "The Citizen Kane of horror movies", and in 2004, Total Film magazine named The Wicker Man the sixth greatest British film of all time. It also won the 1978 Saturn Award for Best Horror Film. The final scene was No. 45 on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments, and during the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony it was included as part of a sequence that celebrated British cinema. The film brought the wicker man into modern popular culture.[7]"

It's an outstanding film, and one of the most memorable, unexpected (and horrifying) endings to a movie.

The best British horror movie ever made. Stunning cinematography as well.

Yes that was how I intended the theme. Trees and/or plants.
Phew - getting trees and plants in and under 75 words would have been the end of me.
I have an idea but it needs a killer final line and so far, all it's doing is killing me.
Its back to the potting shed for me and see if I can find my final funny and witty line - I'm soooooo doomed.

@THX1138 .... Never Move a Fallen Tree .... THX tells a tale of cooperation devolving into battle.

@BT Jones .... The Ends that Justify .... BTJ brings us to a world where the leopard most assuredly can change its spots.

@Daysman .... Helping Hands .... DMan tells a tale that explores the limits of magic and comes out in an interesting place.
