DISCUSSION THREAD -- NOVEMBER 2022 -- 75 Word Writing Challenge

Gone in early with a ninja vote so I don't forget. Will add reasonings and shortlist later.

@Starbeast - vote
@Elckerlyc - runner up -
this tale was excellent. I think a more poignant punchline like-- "That he should commence on all fronts." "But that will cause him to lose the war!" "Oh, you don't say..." --would have earned it the vote. But don't change your writing style because of something I said!
@johnnyjet

Been away for quite some time. Hoping to be more consistent moving forward. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (including Europeans and Oceanians)

Now maybe its because I'm a Londo....

Getting old, but I really didn't get quite few of the entries and more importantly - how they related to questions.

OK, I hear you say - Oh its old Tein moaning on again about the way of the world - poor sod.

But here's the thing.

If the topic is Questions - Surely I'm allowed - no matter how vague, or mind warping process I have to put myself through to expect some reference somewhere in the text a query of some kind.

Oh, they've come to put me back in my chair in the TV room now, so I'll have to leave it there.

That's the thing about witting a story with an alternative history, unless you know that history, it may not make sense.
One idea I had was The Battle of Little Round Top where the confederates won by using horseless iron wagons.
But how many would get it?

My original submission was a Steam Punk time travel story, but I pulled it in the last 5mins of the 60min edit period.

Overall, it was a fun challenge @Dan Jones, and a lot of good stories from everyone!:)

Does it come with an option for a backpack and micro nuclear reactor for those days when are on the go?
Crikey....

I was thinking of a free pitchfork or similar, because giving away a micro nuclear reactor is probably more than I was willing to spend on winning the monthly 75 word competition.

But let me smash open my piggy bank and see what I can do.

Although, I do have a backpack going.

Well, I'll take any other pitchfork and I'll use my own surplus hand generator to charge the phone while on the go then.
Sold!
@Bowler1 is also added to my short list!
